We're here to see children's and families' lives changed by Jesus
Children are a valued part of our church family at Picton Baptist.
Children of all ages meet with the rest of the church for the first part of our worship service , and are encouraged to be part of all we do together. Having people of all ages together to sing and worship is a special dynamic.
Impact takes place in the room at the end of the church hall. Through games, stories, drama and small group times we explore together what the Bible teaches about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and what that means today in the life of 5-11 year olds.
Our heart is for children to not just know about God, but to know God.
This term at Impact we are exploring two main themes : God our healer (following the church teaching/home group theme) and ‘standing up for what is right’(based on Daniel). text, images, and other content
Picton Baptist runs holiday programmes for primary school children aged 5-9 years in the April and October school holidays. The programmes run for 4 mornings (9:30 -12 noon) usually in the first week of the holidays.
Each programme is built around a theme and includes lots of games and challenges, craft and stories from the Bible that tie into the theme. There is always lots of fun, and a great sense of community hanging out together and discovering more about God.
We are committed to providing an environment that is welcoming, safe and encouraging for children. Numbers are limited to ensure there is one leader for every 4 children.
No charge is made for the programme, but a donation of fruit towards morning tea is always appreciated.
Our next programme is:
